In God's hands
This week has been full of great examples of how God holds us in the hallow of His hands...and its only Tuesday!
This week is our gospel meeting with Paul Earnhart and he has done an amazing job! Its so cool for me to see men who can teach the gospel and make it so easy to understand! Last night was good because he taught a lesson on whether there is absolute truth or not. Last nights weather added a little more dramatic affect to the lesson also : ) We were under a severe thunderstorm warning and tornado watch the whole time at church but still, people came to hear him. The rain and hail on the roof just emphasized the power and might of God, and showed us His mercy in protecting us through the bad weather. We still have 2 more nights in the meeting and I'm looking forward to both!
Yesterday also gave us another humbling experience, although it was exactly OUR experience. You may have seen the news about all Southwest planes that are older are being recalled to be inspected. This came just 6 days after we returned from New York, flying Southwest. Apparently, part of a plane's fuselage was ripped open "like a tin can" at 35,000 feet in the air. Now, they have found 5 planes that have cracks in them. Its very scary to think that it could have happened on one of the planes that we flew on. They were reporting from the Baltimore Airport last night in the news story about it, which is where we flew into and out of going to New York and back. The Lord was definitely with us those days.
I look forward to seeing what the rest of the week holds for us! Rory is off all week for his birthday (Wednesday) and the Masters....go figure. Yesterday, he mowed the yard so now it looks like someone actually lives there! Today, he painted my kitchen for me : ) its now red! The house is coming along slowly but surely. The next big task will be the office, which is jam packed full of unopened wedding presents and boxes of stuff from my parents that we still haven't unpacked : ) hopefully we'll be able to get everything organized before we decide to move haha!
May God bless you!
