The Lord's Plans
This past week has reminded me of the quote "If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans."
Having a baby makes that quote hit so much closer to home! Once you finally feel your getting in a routine and you start "planning" how your day will go, she changes it all up on you. First of all, I cannot believe I have an almost one month old!!! Where have the last four weeks gone?!
Looking back at it, I'm already missing that newborn temperament. Not to say that she's not a good baby now, but her temperament has changed and in the midst of this "growth spurt", she fights sleep so bad and can't find a comfortable position most times, which makes for two very tired and frustrated parents. Now having said that, once she does go to sleep, she's sleeping a full five hours! That makes for two happier parents :) I guess that just goes to show you can't have your cake and eat it too...hopefully we'll find a happy medium soon before she decides to change again ;) I do like how she's awake more (during the day anyways) and I can interact with her. I'm ready for her to start interacting back!
The situation with Rory's dad has been another roller coaster of emotions this past week. I had mentioned in my last post that he had an aneurysm that doctors were going to try and fix before it ruptured...if only. It turned out that it was a tumor instead. The symptoms he was experiencing were due to the vessels on the tumor bleeding, so it seemed like an aneurysm to doctors. After several scans and observations, doctors were able to determine the location of the tumor and on Thursday, they were able to remove the whole tumor by the grace of God! The doctors are still wary about his prognosis because they don't know where the primary source of the cancer is but Ray will be having a full scan and meeting with an oncologist to discuss options. We're praying for good news all around and praying that God gives Ray many more years!
Rory and I are going through other trials that I won't delve into but we ask that you pray that God's will be done. We know that He will provide for us and we have full faith in Him!
Hope everyone will stay safe through the bad weather over the next couple of days!
God bless!
