Full Recovery

Miss E has made a full recovery...and not a moment too soon! She's 12 weeks today! It's mind-blowing how fast this is going by! We are enjoying every minute and can't wait to see what she'll do next :)

This past week, she has discovered that she can grab at things and bring them to her mouth...i.e. other peoples fingers, her burp cloth, her fingers, and any loose clothing she may have on. Needless to say, there's a lot of slobber everywhere :) We've also long since realized that she is mesmerized by the television (shh...don't tell her doctor) so I did a little experiment last night....

...and it worked like a charm! She sat just like that for 20 minutes and let me eat my dinner! Here's the view from the front...

She's a pretty happy kid :) I can't complain much ;) Since we've now gotten over our first cold, she's starting to sleep longer at night too! Friday night, she slept a whole 9 hours! She was just giving us a little preview of what's to come in the distant future though, cuz Saturday night, it was back to 5 hours. She's slowly working her way back up so we'll see how this week goes. She'd better hurry cuz she'll be 3 months old next week and then it'll be about time for another growth spurt and our sleeping will be all messed up again :/

On other fronts, Rory got a new job :) and before you start scratching your head wondering "didn't he just get a new job?", yes, he has been with 84 lumber for about 7 weeks but he was contacted by a guy last week about a job he previously applied for before he started at 84 lumber. This one was closer to home and better pay doing the same thing :) why not take it?! So with him squared away, it's only a matter of time for me, but we'll see what God has in store for us :)
