19 weeks and counting...

Our vacation was so relaxing and awesome, it was so hard to go back to work today! It didn't help much that I only got about 5 hours of sleep too because I was running around trying to get everything ready for Emma's first day at daycare today. Thankfully, Mrs. Cindi made it easier for me to leave Emma because she's so nice! I don't worry about Emma so much...just Mrs. Cindi ;) I'm hoping Emma does good and doesn't make Mrs. Cindi want to run for the hills lol!

Emma did so awesome on vacation that I was frequently having to make sure we had the right baby with us. With having her four month shots the day before and being right in the middle of teething, I expected the worst...excessive fussiness with no sleep for anyone. Instead, she pitched a fit MAYBE three times the whole trip (and it was only because she hates her car seat) and she slept 9 hours every night!!! The only thing that worried me some was that it usually took her 1-1 1/2 hours to eat, but only because there was so much going on, she didn't want to miss anything!

Rory had a blast with his dad and Tevin at the Vols practice on Thursday while the girls did a little shopping ;) The guys were so pumped and ready for football when they got back! They were even set up to go see the first game this season in Knoxville!

I'm about ready for some football myself! I'm more ready for the weather that accompanies it :) And before you people start freaking out come September when we start posting pics of Emma in her football garb, Rory and I made a deal that since the auburn gear that she has is bigger and she won't be able to wear it until next season, this season, she will be donning some orange and white. But don't you worry...she'll still bleed orange and blue ;) Just as long as she doesn't wear crimson and white, we'll be good ;)

Just an update on my FIL, he made it through his lung surgery today with flying colors! The docs were able to remove the spot on his lung and some lymph nodes for biopsy to ensure that the cancer hasn't spread that far yet. He'll be taking it easy for a while to recover but I'm sure a few visits from little Miss Emma and football starting up the end of this month will have him back to his old self in no time! :)

So Emma is once again going to see a specialist because she's "too small". Sound familiar? I posted on FB that we are going to visit a GI doctor next week. Dr. Savany was pretty worried at Emma's 4 month appt that she had only gain a pound and 4 oz in two months and there was really no reason as to why she hasn't been gaining (she doesn't have reflux or anything like that) so we're making a trip to Dr. Kings office next Tuesday to get everything checked out. My guess is that she's just little...shocking, I know. But he may have us feed her an extra time every day. She's been eating five times a day since she was two months old (which might be why she's slowed down on gaining weight) and she's been sleeping through the night since then too. Dr. Savany suggested I wake her up in the middle of the night and feed her...and unless he wants to stay at my house every night and wake up at midnight to feed her, that ain't happening! She seems perfectly content and is eating like a horse. I'm hoping she just got those good skinny genes ;)

Everybody try and stay cool during this miserable, hot, humid Alabama August!

God Bless!
