Just another day...
Not a whole lot to report on today. Just one day closer to New York AND its hump day so only 2 more work days this week! Had a nice free meal with dad and will last night and played an excited game of hearts (which Will lost miserably at.)
Mom is enjoying the beautiful green, rolling hills of Ireland this week...or at least I hope she is. She went with a large group of people from our church and they all 'left' last Saturday. They all arrived sporadically between Saturday night and Sunday night. Their flight out of Bham was canceled due to mechanical problems with the plane so Delta bused them to Atlanta to catch a flight to New York....which left well before they got there. So only half got on a flight out that night and the rest had to wait until Sunday afternoon. When they all FINALLY made it to Ireland, 2 of the 10 people got their luggage while the rest was stuck somewhere between Atlanta and New York. They finally got their luggage last night....3 days into their trip. Bless their hearts, but that's what life is all about; unexpected surprises and how you handle them. I just hope our trip goes a little bit smoother than theirs : )
